Occupational Therapy

Our School-Based Model

Embedded School-Based Support

Willow Tree OT provides therapy within the child’s natural learning environment. This allows us to understand how a child participates in real school routines, including classroom tasks, transitions, play, regulation and independence.

Rather than working in isolation, we collaborate with teachers and families so strategies can be used consistently across the child’s day.

Support Beyond the Therapy Session

Our model is designed to support more than the individual therapy session. Participating schools benefit from teacher check-ins, classroom strategy support, resources and collaborative communication.

This means the child is supported not only during therapy, but also throughout everyday school routines.

Limited Capacity, High-Quality Support

Willow Tree OT offers a limited number of school-based therapy positions each fortnight. This allows us to provide consistent, thoughtful and individualised care while maintaining strong communication with families and school staff.

Practical Strategies That Fit Real Classrooms

We focus on strategies that are realistic for busy classrooms. Our recommendations are practical, easy to understand and designed to support teachers without adding unnecessary workload.
